Forum User Guide
Jargon
There are some terms which may be unfamiliar to you if you haven't used this type of forum before. Here is a short selection of terms:
- Board
- An area for discussion on a particular type of topic, such as the 'Just Rats' board and the 'Random Chatter' board.
- Category
- A section of the forum containing one or more boards, such at the 'Members' section and the 'Information' section.
- Forum Index
- The first page that opens when you have logged in, listing all of the categories and boards.
- PM
- A Private Message, sent from one forum member to another and visible to no-one else.
- Thread
- Topic; subject. A collection of posts on the same subject, with one original post and a string of replies.
