Ruth top

Hi everyone,

I'm Ruth, and this is Zen one of my 3 bucks. I have a Burmese, Russian Blue & Russian Blue Essex at the moment. I am an artist (amongst other things) and my fiance Tony and I have just moved down to North Cornwall, to the lovely countryside. The ratties are lucky and now have a whole room to themselves. <:3 )~

My website is Roos Rats.

Tina and Dave top

Yes you guessed it we ride motorbikes! We have been keeping rats for about 3 years now and LOVE everything rat related!

The MRC is a great place to meet people and talk rats.

Hope to talk to you on the forum or see you at the shows!

Hi Y'all,
we are Fred & Jo from Nottingham. We are relatively new having only been members a couple of months.

Got our first babies Peggy (Hooded) and Bonnie (Silver Fawn) after friends of ours (Tina Salt-Pulford and Dave) introduced us to their family - that was it, we were hooked!

We have since added Sally (Russian Blue) and Poppy (Russian Mink) to the family courtesy of Kathy & Jon at Tenaran Rats and a new cage from Julie at Acrorats.

Fantasic experience having rats as pets................ Or is it the other way around???

Cheers - Fred & Jo

Sue top

Hi, my name is Sue Lewis and I run a small rattery, with the help of my partner Andy, in the Midlands.

What started as a hobby has now turned to a passion and I am now starting to breed serious. (The rats that is...not me.....)

My one aim is to always have a descendant of my beautiful black dumbo, Merlin, here. So far we have been successful and we should soon be expecting his grandchildren.

Temperament and health are my first priority...I have no desire to rush my breeding plan as I just want to enjoy all the babies that we are lucky to be blessed with. One day, though, I hope to achieve my goal of silver fawn, rexy dumbos and also to be known as a first class breeder.

My website is Camelot Rats.

Hi All!

I live in Northamptonshire and manage to get to a fair proportion of the shows, so I may look familiar. This is a picture of me with Reggie Kray, my gangster rescue from London, who is 'hanging on in there' at two and a half with quite advanced myco.

I have been keeping rats for about 5 years now and have been an MRC member since January 2003. Joining MRC was one of the best things I have done, as I can now babble about rats and people actually babble back! As an information resource the club is fantastic and the community spirit is second to none.

I have 3 boys at present who are all rescues and certainly characters within their own right! I have wanted a pet rat since I was about 10 years old and decided to have a 'trial-run' with a mouse, Bailey, when I finally moved into rented accomodation that tolerated 'caged' animals (they have no idea how far this is from the truth!). On the day Bailey died, I found out that a lady at work kept rats and an 'unexpected' litter had been born that very day (that's what happens when you mix children with rats...hehe!).

So several weeks later, I acquired the best rats I have ever had, Bart & Nelson (and that's what happens when you let little brothers name your rats!). This is the part where I have to stop, or ask for another blank page!

Hope to see you all at the shows.

Chris and Sue

Hello, I'm Chris

I have been keeping rats since February 2003. I have 12 rats, I may be getting 3 new babies on Wednesday. Sue looks after the rats most of the time as I am suffering with my chest.

On the MRC members forum I am called ratwood. I have a Trade Stand at most MRC show's called Chris's Wood Bits . My long-suffering wife Sue is at the stand most of the time.

My interests include working with wood, custom vans and of course rats.

See you soon, Chris and Sue.

Alison

Hello, I am Alison Campbell (AKA Tabirat) and I share my life with three home-schooled children, a long-suffering rat allergic husband and a whole gang of Shunamite rats. I hold an advanced diploma in washing up, which comes in handy at our shows!

My website is Shunamite rats.

Deb and Ed

Hi. We're Deb and Ed. Deb runs our Rat Sitting Register. If you have never been to a show and you need a guided tour, we'll happily show you round. We got involved in the MRC because we wanted to see more rats in and about Birmingham.

Hi, I'm Su Mitchell. I've been owned by the Ratburgers since 1998. I can be spotted at shows by the orange and blue feathers I wear in my hair.

Annette

Hi, I'm Annette Rand, your Treasurer and Webmaster. My main interest is in rats as pets, but I enjoy attending shows with my family and meeting fellow rat fanciers. As a further sign of my rat obsession, I now sell rat themed gifts on the web and at shows.

My website: Ratty Corner.
