By Road

(Directions from the M1, Junction 25).

• At Junction 25, follow signs for Long Eaton and turn onto Bostock Lane.

• Carry on along Bostock Lane until you reach an island. Here TURN RIGHT onto Longmoor Lane.

• Continue along Longmoor Lane until you reach a second island. At this island go STRAIGHT ON along Wilsthorpe Road (B6002). There will be a sign for Sawley and on the island a large pub called Eaton Farm.

• Carry on along Wilsthorpe Road (B6002), STRAIGHT ON over two mini islands (the first near West Park Leisure Centre and the second near The Wilsthorpe Tavern), until you reach a third large island.

• At this island, with Long Eaton Railway Station on it, TURN RIGHT under the larger railway bridge into Sawley.

• You are now on Tamworth Road (B6540). Take the SIXTH TURN ON THE RIGHT onto Draycott Road (there is a right-turning filter lane at the bollards). Note: The first right turn looks like a dirt track near The Sawley Dental Practice. (When you see a cul-de-sac with a white gate at the entrance, the next right turn is Draycott Road).

• Continue along Draycott Road until you see The Co-Op on the RIGHT. The Community Hall is next door.

For help planning your journey, including times and fares try www.thetrainline.com or the Railtrack Travel page. There are regular trains between Derby and Long Eaton (even on a Sunday). Train services from some parts of the country (Birmingham, for example) go directly to Long Eaton.

By Bus

The Trent Barton number 15 bus runs from outside Long Eaton Station to Draycott Road every hour at half past the hour, and from Draycott Road to Long Eaton Station every hour at forty minutes past the hour. You will need to get off the bus at the stop opposite Plant Lane (you will have just passed a Post Office on the right hand side).
